04 Nov Take your startup to the next level! DANUBE CUP 2021
If you are student, interested in the startup world, and have an idea that has been validated at least locally, this is the perfect competition for you.
This year, the competition is hosted by The Budapest University of Technology and Economics and Corvinus University of Budapest. In addition, 2 startup teams from the following universities will participate: Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Technical University of Vienna, University of Belgrade, University of Passau, University of Regensburg, and Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Participants can expect:
- Valuable cash prizes,
- Mentoring,
- Connecting and cooperating with other participants, mentors, entrepreneurs, sponsors,
- And selected startups can expect cooperation with reputable business angels and venture capitalists.
Teams must meet the following requirements:
- Validation: We are looking for teams that have already performed validation research for their ideas, at least locally.
- Team size: Teams must have at least three maximum five total members. Participants can only be a member of one team.
- Student teams: Teams may contain non-university member participants. However, at least 75% of the team should be composed of registered students.
- Fresh project: Teams must present an original idea for an enterprise that has not existed before 2020.
This is not a competition of ideas. Applicants must validate their business idea among potential customers, the concept must be unique and innovative, and there must be high growth potential that is independent of local market trends. The existence of a prototype is not a prerequisite for application.
