Open call for paid internship at EUIPO through Pan-European Seal Professional Traineeship program

European Union Intellectual Property Office – EUIPO provides an opportunity for a one-year paid internship for students who have completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Belgrade, and who are interested in patents and their commercialization!

The University of Belgrade is one of the members of the Pan-European Seal Professional Traineeship program, thanks to which excellent graduates of the University of Belgrade get a unique chance to gain work experience in a multicultural environment in important EU institutions whose main focus is intellectual property issues. The selected candidates will go through trainings, work on specific tasks in order to apply and prove the acquired knowledge, their work will be accompanied by experienced tutors, and the best ones will receive diplomas at a ceremony at the end of the internship.

Candidates who have a degree in one of the following areas can apply for the internship:

  1. Law,
  2. IP Law,
  3. IP and Knowledge Management,
  4. Political sciences and international relations,
  5. Linguistics,
  6. Economics and Business Administration/Entrepreneurship,
  7. Information Technology (Data Analysis, IT Security, Business Analysis, Software Engineering, Customer Service Solutions, Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence)
  8. Communication and Visual Design,
  9. Facility Management (Architecture, Civil Engineering, Logistics management), and
  10. Human Resources.

The application procedure consists of two stages:

  1. The first round of applications refers to internal applications within each University that is a member of the Program. Interested candidates from the University of Belgrade can send their application in the period from January 15 to February 24, 2023, to ctt@rect.bg.ac.rs. The application should contain a CV and a cover letter (up to 1000 characters) in English. Based on the collected applications, and in accordance with the criteria obtained from the program coordinator, the University of Belgrade will form a list of selected candidates, who will be informed about the results of the selection after closing internal applications.
  2. Candidates selected by the University of Belgrade are required to submit their online application by March 31, 2023, at: https://euipo.europa.eu/ohimportal/en/traineeships
    When applying online, it is necessary to submit::
    – CV in English in Europass Word format,
    – Motivation letter with a clear indication of internship location (EPO or EUIPO),
    – A diploma of undergraduate/master studies with a final grade (this can be replaced by a provisional declaration until the final diploma is issued), and
    – Certificate(s) of completion of the required online course(s) offered by the EPO: “EUTM in a Nutshell” and/or “RCD in a Nutshell” (with mandatory account creation on the EUIPO Academy Learning Portal).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online interview between May and July 2023.
