International Technology Transfer Conference – Call for papers

Within the 14th International Technology Transfer Conference, which is being held on October 7 and 8, organized by the Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation from the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, a call for applications and submission of scientific papers has been opened. Topics should relate to technology transfer and intellectual property, and the areas are as follows:

  • Key factors for successful technology transfer from different points of view (researchers, knowledge transfer experts, enterprises);
  • Key inventions and their protection for the greater good;
  • Market perspective through different TRL (Technology Readiness Levels) phases;
  • Financing different TRL phases;
  • Setting-up internal PoC (Proof-of-Concept) funds at public research organisations;
  • Lowering the PoC risks;
  • Shortening the time-to-market for different technological fields;
  • Spin-out vs spin-off;
  • Key trends in IP protection and TT for mid TRL phases;
  • Examples of IP protection in Artificial Intelligence;
  • The role of patents in Artificial Intelligence;
  • Activating the IP protection and TT players in the SEE region;
  • National IP protection: a profit or a hindrance;
  • Governmental support vs institutional support of IP protection and TT;
  • IP and internal secret know-how: who prefers what and why;
  • Other, chosen by the contributor.

Papers should be written in English and should not exceed four pages. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings (Proceedings from 2020 can be viewed at the link http://library.ijs.si/Stacks/Proceedings/InformationSociety/2020/IS2020_Volume_E%20-%20ITTC.pdf ) and on the official website of the Conference. Also, presentations of published papers will be organised in sessions.

The deadline for submitting papers is August 17!
