Innovation from the University of Belgrade is this year’s winner of the Delta Business Incubator

The Farma Inova team, with the product Silage Stabilizer – innovative packaging and silage additives, is this year’s winner of the Delta Business Incubator.

The third Delta Business Incubator started with a competition in which 57 startup projects were submitted. Through several rounds of selection, 5 teams were selected that entered the program and passed the three-month incubation period. Experts from Delta Holding and partner companies worked with them, as well as external associates who joined the program this year: Comtrade, PwC Serbia, ICT Hub, Fresh Agriculture Technologies, Miša Lukić, Dejan Tešić, Ognjen Radić, and Mark Phillips.

The Farma Inova team presented a silage stabilizer that enables the rapid expulsion of oxygen and moisture from the silo mass, which are the main causes of silage deterioration. The product contains innovative additives with an enzyme packed in special innovative bags that are placed directly in the silo mass of plants.

This victory provided the Farm Inova team with financial support for the realization of their business idea, as well as the opportunity to continue negotiations on the topic of potential cooperation and further development of their business ideas with interested investors.

The inventor of this innovative technology, Dr. Aleksandra Ivetić, has been cooperating with the team of the Center for Technology Transfer of the University of Belgrade for two years in order to ensure the commercialization of his invention. During that time, joint efforts provided funds for further development of technology and filing a patent application through the TTF program, the Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia, support for participation in the third Delta Business Incubator, additional promotion and presentation to potential investors.
