02 Oct Architecture students from University of Belgrade entered the finals of international competition in Dubai
Students of Faculty of Architecture of University of Belgrade entered the finals of prestigious competition in Dubai “Solar Decathlon Middle East” with their solar desert house project “Twist Box”.
Students from University of Belgrade will present new, upgraded way of green building and efficient energy use and compete with teams from 20 world-known universities.
Students will construct functional house in a desert environment which will be presented to jury and the public will be able to learn about new technologies in civil engineering. Solar desert house is 80 m2 big and three generations (six people) can live in it.
First step is the presentation of solar desert house model in Dubai together with 2.000 other exhibitors.
Great contribution to the team from Faculty of Architecture was provided by researchers from School of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Forestry and Faculty of Organizational Sciences of University of Belgrade.
Entering the finals is a great success itself, and now we wish our students good luck in the rest of the competition with prestigious faculties from Bordeaux, Eindhoven, Naples, etc.
