18 Sep New App places furniture in your space before purchase
Buying furniture has never been easier. Many people find it hard to opt for changing old furniture due to fear that it will not fit into the existing ambience. IKEA Place is an application that will, thanks to augmented reality, allow users to see how furniture will look in their space before deciding for the purchase itself.
You only need to choose furniture that interests you, then turn the camera to the space where you want the furniture to be. The app automatically scans the dimensions of the product and fits them into the proportions of the room – in the end you will get a faithful display of furniture in the desired space.
Ikea made this app in collaboration with Apple, and is currently available only to iPhone and iPad users.
