Many people in Serbia are confused with rumors on forums that on the market there will no longer be Prague ham. Luckily for all lovers of cold meat, the situation is not so serious. In fact, it is only on the claim of the Czech to protect this product based on its geographical origin.
Czech protection of this dry meat delicacies as traditional specialties guaranteed disables the use of the title “Prague Ham” as it used to be possible. After the expiration of a period of 3 years, the license for the use of this title will be allowed only to producers who make ham with original Czech recipes.
All in all, domestic ham that we liked so far, we will be able to find, but under a different name.
